I got stomped.

Wow, the poll has ended and I got stomped worse than Arizona was by Louisville.
I got beat worse than Ike beat Tina. I got beat worse than the Cubs in the playoffs the last 3 years. Ouch, low blow to Scrubbie nation.

I mean come on, the beard wasn't that bad. Was it?

We are this close...

The site should be up within the next couple of days. Check back often to see what it's all about.

www.brewcrew365.com

This is the new shit.

Michigan State is holding my chances with the office pool on by a thread. I should've went with my first instincts on the bracket I had 'Nova in my original final game against Michigan State. Oh well. My other three teams got beat(Memphis, Gonzaga and Pitt) too.

Oh, by the way. My boy Tiger is back for all you haters. Watch out in Augusta, GA. He is coming strong.

bracket madness/fantasy baseball

Ten votes and only 2 of which are in favor of my beard. I am shocked, I didn't see this coming. I have shaved it off as of Thursday. And coinincidently my NCAA bracket went to hell with the shave. I knew I should have kept it going. Memphis and Gonzaga both lost in the sweet 16 round and I had them in the final four. I'm hosed if Michigain State doesn't win it all.

I did my fantasy baseball draft on Thursday night too. Here is my team. I think I did pretty good for a twelve person league. I had the 4 spot of 12.

C- Jorge Posada - Yankees
1st- Lance Berkman - Astros
2nd- Kelly Johnson - Braves
SS- JJ Hardy - Brewers
3rd- Chipper Jones - Braves
OF- Ryan Braun - Brewers
OF- Jay Bruce - Reds
OF- Rick Ankiel - Cards
util- Denard Span - Twins
bench- Alexi Casilla - Twins
bench- Brad Nelson - Brewers

SP- CC Sabathia - Yankees
SP- Cole Hamels - Phillies
RP- Carlos Marmol - Cubs
RP- Matt Lindstrom - Marlins
P- Fransico Liriano - Twins
P- Ervin Santana - Angels
P- Zach Grieke - Royals
bench- Manny Parra - Brewers
bench- Kevin Gregg - Cubs
bench- Hideki Okijima - Red Sox

1-2-3 Eat Kids

Hell yeah. The women's Maryland Basketball team's rally cry is "Eat Kids." This is awesome, what a bunch of bad asses. I just saw this and heard about it on JRIB(Jim Rome is Burning). How much tougher can they be? What would scare the other team more than this, you could go with "Kill Puppies", "Burn Bibles" or even "Steal from the Blind". All of which will get you funny looks but none of which will scare them as much.

Trot Nixon was released yesterday. Big woop. See ya, you had ok career. Brad Nelson here we come. I can't wait to see this guy in the bigs.

In the other headlines of the last couple days. We had some reports that were so obvious they weren't worth the time it took to type it up. Included are Cutler doesn't talk to his coach, T.O. to skip voluntary workouts and Plex doesn't want to go to jail. Really? In other news; grass is green, the sky is blue and water is wet.

NCAA tourney resumes tonight. I wish they could start the games a little earlier though. Doesn't the NCAA know that tonight is poker night at my neighbor's house. I also have a fantasy baseball draft tonight.

The website is starting to be developed tonight. It's coming soon.

Monday

Does anybody have a case of the Monday's? Another lovely day in the office. But this isn't about work it's about sports.

I'm reading the Brewers message board and come across this gem. Dave Bush sporting, well a bush on his face. I like Bush but this beard is really kinda creepy. It makes my March Madness rally face growth look cool. I'll let you compare and we'll put up a poll on the topic.

Now here is my beard.

In other sports news. The Packers open up the season at home against the Bears on Sunday Sept. 13 on NBC's night game. They also play Detroit on Thanksgiving this year.

Jeff Suppan is the opening day pitcher for the Crew against the Giants. Then it's Yo and Manny in the next two starts with Looper pitching the home opener against the Cubs and Bush having the last start in the rotation. Hoff will probably start the season on the DL, that isn't the best news but McClung should be a good fill in if Carlos isn't up to it.

Wisconsin and Marquette were both eliminated from the NCAA tournament. They won a game each which is more than most people expected. Congrats to both of them, see ya next year. Both teams will lose key players and new guys will come up and take over in their places.

I'm in the process of starting up a website. I'm going to try get it going within the next month. It will be more of what I write in the blog. I will also have a couple my cousins writing on the new site with me. My cousins; Tyler and Bryan will be on board. Tyler had a blog last summer, here is a link to see a sample of his writing. http://www.brewersrant.blogspot.com/. More info to come soon.

Going Mental

Wow. Badgers win in OT after coming from behind. Does this sound like a dream? It kinda is, afterall they were terrible at coming back in the regular season. I guess they did it when it counted. Go Red. Nothing bad to say this time. Except this, Could you please win by a healthy margin Sunday? My ticker can't take it anymore. We were watching as I was bartending, Todd and myself. Todd O. is a big time Wisconsin fan and my uncle. Todd already has a sketchy ticker and mine won't be far behind if you keep this up. Yowzers. Remember the Shaq rap to Kobe a year or so ago? I'm going to have to get him to dis the Gophers who were stomped in the first round. "Hey Tubby, tell me how the loss tastes." The other games that had good endings were Marquette, Tennessee and Sienna over Ohio State. Marquette won and I was pulling for them even though I had them losing in my bracket. Big Ten is doing alright too. Wins by Michigain, Michigain State, Wisconsin and Perdue gave us some cred.

Brewers bats are tearing it up in spring training too. Hardy, Hart, McGehe and Weeks are hitting well. I know I typed Weeks, it is a suprise to me too. Keep it up boys, opener is only 3 weeks away. The USA team is in the final rounds of the WBC, take home a title(meaningless as it might be). You kept it interesting with the comeback win against Puerto Rico.

Gotta get some sleep.

March Madness

I just saw a commercial for B-Dubs(Buffalo Wild Wings). Where the customers don't want a game to end so they page a photographer to keep the game going. He uses a giant flash bulb to blind a player and then does the same to a mascot with a t-shirt cannon who blasts it into a players nut sack. Not sure what it is about a good nut sack shot that makes me chuckle. Shouldn't I be growing out of this in my old age(I'm 26.5 yrs old)? It isn't going to happen any time soon though.

It is about 3:30 on Friday afternoon and I'm watching the "big dance" aka the NCAA final four tourney. I don't know why the call it the "big dance", but I've never been a fan of the nickname. I've still never seen anybody dance, even the cheerleaders just sit on their ass at the end of the court. Right now they are showing a game between Dayton and WVU at the Metrodome. And I have to say that this is what the crowds at a Vikings game would look like if Fox didn't buy tickets every home game. There have been some good games so far. The Marquette game had a good finish, I was pulling for them even though I had them loosing in my bracket. The end of the Tennessee game was even better. I've only picked three games wrong so far, not too bad. None of them have effected the next round so far. My wrong picks so far were Marquette, Texas A&M, and Western Kentucky. I have Mich. State, Memphis, Gonzaga and Pitt in my final four with Mich. State over Pitt for my champ.

Here is a pic I found looking for a hot UW chick for good luck tonight.

Come down to the Friendly Bar and Grill in Star Prairie tonight. There is the excellent fish fry as always on Friday night and we have 2$ margaritas, summer hummers and fuzzy navels from 4 to 6 today as a Spring Fling to celebrate the end of this miserable winter. I have also dubbed this blog the Official blog of the Friendly Bar. I be working from 5-Close. We have a DJ/karaoke tomorrow night too. I'll be there working from 5-11 or so.

definition of a cubs fan

this explains it all.

Tuesday night

Twitter? Not sure what the hell Twittering is. I think it involves mass text messaging people what you are up to. I think it is like updating your facebook profile every ten minutes like some creeps do. If I twittered or tweeted or whatever it is called. It would go like this:

Alex Rodriguez was once A-Rod then he juiced and he was dubbed A-Roid now he did a ultra creepy magazine photo shoot and he is now Gay-Rod. (I think he is kissing the mirror)

And this pic was on the Deadspin site, classic. I hate the Yankees for taking Texiera and sticking us with a second round pick, which is actually a third round pic, due to the sandwich pick. Here is the douchebag Cashman with a Sox fan I would guess.
Brad Nelson is the man. End of Story. No gimmicks or fluff to this post. Keep it real Rad Brad.

blah blah blah

It's nice outside. I should be outside doing something, but I'm too lazy tonight. Instead, I'll just watch some television and do some laundry. Possibly the dishes, if I get a wild hair up my ass. And yes, if you're wondering, I do know how to do the dishes. You just let the dog lick them clean, right?

Badgers make the big dance. Will they be one and done? No, they should beat Florida State according to some guy I saw on Sportscenter. Can't think of his name at this moment, but he is on ESPN radio occasionally too. Anyways, they play Friday night. I'll be bartending and ignoring some of the customers to watch the game. Here's to making farther than the Goofers.

Braun hurt his oblique at the WBC. Great news. The guy we need to stay healthy is hurt already. All these injuries will turn away the last six fans the WBC had away. This is why you shouldn't have four outfielders on the team and ask them to play full games when they are not in shape enough to do so. If Braun being hurt, kills our season due to some fucking exhibition games, I'll be pretty pissed.

I'm done ranting for now. I gotta go shave my beard, it's past the point of looking decent. If you grow a beard you know what I mean. It looks cool for like 3 or 4 days tops, and then it looks too long and you can never trim it the right length, so you end up shaving it and starting over. That is the point I'm at now.

Later.

Terror level red?

Check this story out. It was on the front page of the JSonline website. Meat lovers will be saddened. http://www.jsonline.com/news/wisconsin/41199767.html
In sports we have the Badgers playing their first game of the Big10 tourney today. Go Red. I'm hoping that they can win tonight's game and give Michigain State a run for their money tomorrow. Will it happen, who knows. I'm not going to lay into the Badgers today. Not in the mood today.
Since we talked about red meat and the Badgers, we'll stick with a red theme today. The man in the backwards red Yankees hat is back. Yes, I'm talking about Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit. The original lineup is back together and recording new material and planning on touring. This is the best band I've seen live. I saw them twice, once at the Dome and once at Roy Wilkins. Neither time had Wes Borland in the band though. So far they are only planning a Euro tour, but here's hoping they come this way. Check out their website, it's got video of them playing together again, and some other cool shit. All there music videos are on there as well as them playing Boiler and Break Stuff from recent sessions. http://www.limpbizkit.com/
Gotta bartend tonight to make up for poker losses. Only 15bones, but it hurts to lose it when you were up 30-40$ at one point. Last week I won 40$ so, what comes around goes around.

Thursday

I'm on my lunch break at work right now killing the last ten minutes I have before a customer comes in to watch their parts run. I work in a plastic factory, by the way. Not a whole lot of news today. Marquette killed St. Johns in basketball last night. While I did say in an earlier post that I'm a UW fan, I still do pull for Marquette to do well. Just not against the Badgers. Hopefully they can do well in the tourney. Tiger Woods is playing again this week, hopefully he will dominate and continue to do so in winning the Masters this year. I read that Jonny Paplebon called Manny a cancer in the Red Sox organization. No shit? Really Jon, you are about the tenth person to claim this. While it is surely true, why do you fools keep telling the media about it. Sorry the Rays beat you last year and the Yankees are in the headlines more already, but get over it. The dude ripped it up in LA last year and will most likely do the same. In Wisconsin we had a cat that left our team and not everybody threw him under the bus, you might remember him. His name is Brett something. Yeah I know, he didn't give up during games like ManRam did, but you guys are still better than half your division.

Back to work.

Word up Wed.

LT signs with Chargers for another year. Personally, I would have let them release me and went to play for the Saints. Back with the QB the Chargers should have never let go of. That would be an even sicker offensive team.

Canada and Dominican Republic ousted from WBC. Both of these teams were favored to make it farther into the tournament. This is good for the USA, as both of these teams were stacked. Canada came close to beating the US in game 1, and it's good we don't play them again.

Clemens tied to McNemee's drug items. Yawn, this is such old news I don't know why I'm even commenting on it. I didn't even read the story, just the headline. Fuck the Rocket.

Big Ten B-Ball tourney starts tonight. Here's to a good run by the Badgers, they play tomorrow against Ohio State. With a win they could be in the dance. If they beat the Buckeyes they would play the winner of the Gopher/?/Michigain State game. Which we would have a tough time doing. Down with the Goophers.

Archery tonight.

Quicky

T.O. signs with the Bills for one year. I don't get it. Why the Bills? I'm glad he didn't go to the Packers, because he is a cancer for any team he signs with. But the Bills, huh, really? I guess it was down to them and the Raiders. I guess Al Davis isn't crazy after all. Hey Buffalo, You do know T.O. is crazy, right? You do know that T.O. will call out your QB if Lee Evens gets more passes than him, right? You do know he blew up his own sick QB in a superbowl and called another one gay, right? Ok, just checkin. Good luck, in Buffalo.

Eric Gagne is released from the Brewers. Tough luck. Too bad to see ya go, I was hoping to get some of that ten million dollars back, by using you for cheap this year.

what, come again?

This was one of the dumbest comments I've heard in awhile. Karl Ravech on ESPN's Baseball Tonight, said "I could see some teams making moves around the all star break, if they are down in the standings to make a move at the playoffs, teams such as the Yankee, Red Sox, Cubs or Brewers." Now I'm just paraphrasing, but you get the point. How the hell are we even in the same category on spending as these three teams. Just because we got Sabathia last year, doesn't mean we are going to do this every year.

Bill Hall to the Yankees? Could happen now with A-roid hurt. We are reportedly looking around for some much needed OF help. Could the trade be back on? I hope not yet, I'd like to see how Billy does with the new Lasik surgery.

OF needs. We are looking around at potential backups, some of the guys names tossed around are Dave Roberts, Jim Edmonds, Jay Payton, Luis Gonzalez. I'm not too stoked on this list, but with Gwynn out, what can you do? I'm hoping Brad Nelson is a backup out there.

Have a nice weekend everybody.

Thursday morning

Matt Birk signs with the Ravens. Awesome news, he is a good player that I'm glad to see leave MN. Too bad we won't get to hear him on the radio weekly though.

T.O. cut by the Cowboys. Finally this franchise does something right for the first time in thirteen years. Here's to a possible playoff win.

Ray Lewis signs with the Ravens. Not a real big surpise, glad to see a guy stick with his team. I'm sure they paid him nicely, and he deserved it. Note to the Queens, this is what you do with a team leader (ex. Matt Birk).

Well, my son is feeling better, but my wife is sick now and I'm feeling it a little bit too.

New Post

Here are some quick sports news updates.

Manny signs with the Dodgers for 2years and 45million. About time. We all knew this would happen and it finally has. He didn't want the deferred money, but it turns out he got it anyways. . I think he just wanted to sit out of spring training for a couple weeks.

Barry Bonds wants to play this year. Yeah, and I wanna hump Marisa Millers leg like a horny dog, but it isn't going to happen.

Kurt Warner signs back on with the Cardinals. I guess we'll see if this was a one year fluke or not. It will be hard to get back there with out Boldin though.

Braun scored a run in the WBC scrimmage against the Yankees today, not too sure what to make of the WBC. Maybe it should be played at a different time of the year so all the best players don't back out of the tourney.

That is about all I have for today, gotta go check on my napping sick son.

NFL free agency

Sitting at my computer on the intranets. Thank you Al Gore. Just chillin, listening to some P.O.S.(local rapper from the cities, not too bad) and playing some free poker on Full Tilt.

Free Agency has begun in the NFL and some crazy shit has happened already.
The Vikings are reportedly tried to go after TJ Housh., and the Queens fans at work were already about to order thier superbowl replica rings already. Suckers, it turns out he decided to pick the Seahawks instead. As it turns out he wanted to play for a team with a good QB, and the Vikings have failed to aqcuire a good QB for a number of years. Rumors are floating around that the Vikes are looking into Jay Cutler. I hope not, he is one guy I always root for and he is a fantasy football favorite of mine, don't do it Jay, it's not worth it.

Cassel to the Chiefs was a great move on the Chiefs part, not sure if New England didn't want to pay him the 14.5 million they owed him or what was going on. They will be hurting if Tom Brady goes down and don't have a decent backup. Fat Albert Haynesworth signed a fat paycheck, and I'm stunned they would commit this much money to a defensive lineman. He is a great player, but damn. He doesn't touch the ball every play or every other play like a QB or even a running back would. Fred Taylor signed with New England, good for Taylor and so so for New England. Do they really need another aging RB?

We ordered our tickets to go to Milwaukee on Saturday, there are 8 of us going to see the Braves series at the end of July. Should be a blast.

That is all I have for today. I have a sick kid to take care of, he is puking and shitting everywhere.

Zesty Tomato -Seafood Bisque

Brewers played their first game today and tied. Let the fire Macha chants begin. Since Soupan pitched today here is a quick recipe for the tomato seafood soup I mentioned a few posts ago. Try it out, it was awesome.

Ingredients
*2 cans (19 oz.) Progresso Vegetable Classics hearty tomato soup
*1 can (7 oz.) Chopped green chilies (we only used a 4oz. can)
*1 cup whipping cream
*1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (ex. Old Bay)
*At least one cup cooked seafood of any combo ex. crab, shrimp, scallops, lobster (we had more than one cup and we used shrimp and crab)(use real crab meat, not imitation)

Directions
1)In 3-Quart saucepan, heat soup and chilies to boiling over medium heat.
2)Reduce heat to low, beat in whipping cream and seasoning with wore whisk until blended.
3)Cook until hot (DO NOT BOIL), stir in seafood let cook for a couple more minutes.
4)Eat.

Hope you enjoy the soup, it was excellent.

Spring Training

The first exhibition game is tomorrow, while this isn't a game that will matter towards anything. It is good enough to know that the regular season is just over a month away. I cannot wait for it to start. Here is the starting pitching lineup so far, at least for spring training. This came from the JSONLINE.COM website. Jeff Suppan, Yovani Gallardo, Manny Parra, Braden Looper and Dave Bush. I would have made it Dave Bush, Yovani Gallardo, Manny Parra, Braden Looper and Jeff Suppan. Maybe putting Suppan first will light a fire under his ass and he will do something great for once. I hope Suppan can get his shit straight because I'm getting sick of complaining about him. Bush gets less respect than former President Bush and I don't get it. He is streaky, I'll give the nay sayers that, but he was great the second half of last year. I can understand not putting all the pressure on Yo right away, and I think he will be the best pitcher we have this year. I think we will have at least 3 or 4 allstars this year. I am betting on Braun, Fielder, Hardy and Gallardo. Not sure if I commented on the Gagne signing, but I like it. I recommended it weeks ago and it has happened. Our bullpen looks just as good last year in my opinion. We lost a couple of decent pitchers but picked up some that were just as good.

We are in the midst of planning another trip down to Milwaukee to check out a series, not sure who we will go and see though. The May 1st series against the D-Backs is the leading candidate. I am also thinking that going late in the year would be a good option, maybe a series against San Fran or possibly Philly at the end of the year. My wife and I are also going to see the Crew take on the scrubs on July 4th weekend in Chitown.

Gotta cook some food, peace.

Random Thoughts

Attn. Alex Roidriguez.
When you say, "We weren't taking Tic Tacs" and then announce your cousin injected you, I'll call you a bullshitter. You moron, you pop Tic Tacs like pills, are you sure you are telling us the whole truth? You did a worse job acting than the chick from Saved By The Bell in Striptease. What were you thinking of during that awkward 30 seconds of silence at the end of your statement? I didn't know if you were thinking of something sad to try and cry or something funny, because you almost broke out laughing at least twice. I would've given you better advice than the firm you paid for, FEMA after hurricane Katrina thinks you blew that one. Somewhere Joe Torre is laughing his ass off right now.

Mat Gamel showed up to spring training with a sore shoulder. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come for this kid. He has a great bat and needed the time at third, especially with Bill Hall hurt for a couple of weeks. This reminds me of last year, just when Tony Gwynn Jr. started showing some skill(during Cam's suspension), he got hurt and probably blew his best chance with the team. Gwynn Jr. is out of minor league options and has a slim chance of staying with the team, see ya in San Diego, Tony. Your name will get you farther in that organization, than it did here.

Tiger Woods is scheduled to be back at the matchplay tourney next week. Finally a reason to watch one of my favorite sports again. It was agonizing to try watch it while he was out. Did they even play the last two majors last year? Not sure. You know Tiger is only going to come back if the man is fully ready. The field better watch out for my boy, cuz he will intimidate you.

P.S. Fat boy Phil Mickleson sucks. I'd rather watch Michelle Wie than Phil.

Movies and Food

Movies and Food are some of my favorite things besides sports.

Movies I have seen recently and would recommend:
Eagle Eye, The Rocker, My Best Friends Girl

Movies to Avoid:
Max Payne, Pineapple Express

I made some bomb ass Chicken Fajitas the other night. My wife Sara also made some tasty soup the other night, it was some kind of tomato seafood soup. So good, just a little bit of spice to it. Cooking up different meals is a good time, I love eating good food, so I've had to learn how to cook over the years. Luckily my wife is a good cook with different recipies I've never tried or even would have thought of. Grilling is still my favorite way to cook, but untill we get a gas grill, I'm only doing that from spring to fall. Hopefully we can get one this summer. Gotta pick up a small gas grill for trips to Milwaukee. Have a nice week everybody.

Brett Favre

Brett has officially retired. Again. This isn't much of a suprise, he has been doing this for 4 years now. If his arm didn't get hurt last year he would have asked for his release and went and played for the rival Queens. I was kinda hoping he would have played for the Vikes, what better chance do you get to pound the living piss out of him. You would have at least two games a year to try and make him realize what kind of mistake it would be to wear purple. Besides he probably misses his boys Darren "Wishes he was a little" Sharper and Ryan "I'm a pussy and needed to kick indoors" Longwell. Go ahead and join them Brett. You might as well, you have already kicked the state in the collective junk. I'm still a fan of yours Brett, I did refuse to watch you in another teams jersey though. I will stay a fan of Bretts unless he goes to the Queens, then all bets are off. And judging by the soap opera Favre has put us through the last 4 years, I won't be sure you aren't coming back till at least November. You should have put your hatred for Ted Thompson aside for one more year to bring us to the SuperBowl. You were one play away the year before, but instead you went to the Jets. We all know how that ended, don't we Chad Pennington. You should have retired a Packer, and since you didn't grant us that dignity, you should have gotten to the playoffs so we got a better draft pick for you.

A-Ro(i)d and the Steroid Era

Well well well. A-Rod has admitted to using steroids for 3 years. Everybody is up in arms over this news, while it is disappointing that the one of the best players of our generation is now a liar and cheat, it isn't the most shocking news ever. I mean come on, who didn't see this coming. First the new home run king, Bonds was using, then the best pitcher of our generation, the Rocket was using, and now the guy everybody was hoping would take the home run throne from Bonds was found to be cheating. While I'm not condoning steroids, if guys like McGwire and Sosa weren't using them and hitting a record number of home runs, nobody would be watching baseball. The strike almost killed the sport and steroids brought it back from the dead. It resurrected attendance and gave everybody something to cheer for. Jose Canseco said two years ago that Alex was using and he denied it then, if Canseco was right about everybody else why didn't everybody believe him on A-Rod? Possibly because he is a juiced up freak with worse tatts than Tyson. (Did anybody else see the pics of him fighting Danny Bonadouche. The match ended in a freakin tie for god's sake.)

If A-Rod got outed for this list of 104 players, why haven't we heard some of the other names? It was supposed to be a confidential list, I want to know which guys I cheer for every game was on the list. For how often the Crew turns over players, the chances of them still being on the team are slim to none.

Nobody is perfect, Babe Ruth was a drunk womanizer, and Ty Cobb was a prick, but they didn't cheat. We already have the best pure hitter, Pete Rose, not in the hall for gambling. And I believe he would be in if he had admitted and apologized right away, instead of denying it for so many years. And Shoeless Joe banned for supposedly throwing the World Series. Now we have A-Rod, the Rocket, Bonds and McGwire; who should be allowed into Cooperstown, but they probably won't get in. They surely won't get in right away as was the case with Big Mac. It's too bad because these are some of the greatest players we will ever see play, they were great before they took the steroids and didn't need them. They took the easy way out, like they say, "If you can't beat them, join them."

Milwaukee Bucks and Ben Sheets

I'm not the biggest follower of the Bucks. I have always followed how they stand in the rankings and such but never sit and watch them like I do with the Brewers and Packers. I did watch them a lot when I was younger, back when we had guys like Ray Allen, Glenn Robinson, and Vin Baker. Then I slowing stopped following them, just didn't care anymore. Pro basketball has never been as much fun to watch as college ball. Go Badgers, down with Marquette. Sorry Milwaukee area boys, I bleed Red. But the last couple years I have slowly been getting back into watching some games. Now this year looked kinda promising, until a week ago when Redd got hurt for the year, Bogut is out for 8 weeks and now Ridnour is out for 4 weeks. Oh another year passes by the Bucks, although they are not out of it, Nail meet Coffin. You guys went the way of the Badgers this year and unfortunately for the Pros there is no version of the NIT tourney.

Well as we figured Ben will need to have surgery on his elbow. Since this happened while he was a Brewer, the Brewers will have to pay for the surgery. An elbow surgery is cheaper than the 12 million we offered in arbitration, thank you Benny for rejecting that offer. See ya in August, where a desperate team might pick you up. I mean to say, see you back in a Brewers uni, cuz nobody else will risk it with you. It was reported that Ben had a verbal agreement pending a physical with the Rangers, but this whole ordeal threw a wrench into it. Sorry about your luck, from one guy who chews his nails to another. Keep it real homey. Stay in shape cuz we might need you later this season.

Gotta work at the bar tonight.
Stop in for a drink at the Friendly Bar in Star Prairie.

Tuesday Feb. 3rd

Not a whole lot of action in sports today as far as Wisconsin is concerned. The Badgers have played themselves out of the tournament at least a week ago. Five straight losses really surprised me with these guys. I thought they had a lot of talent leftover from last year and they lost a lot of close games to some pretty good teams. Lost to a bunch of games to ranked teams such as Texas, UConn, Perdue, Minnesota, and Illinois. Some they should have won and some they were lucky to keep it close. See ya in the NIT, now I know what it's like to be a Goopher fan for the last dozen or so years. Actually, I still don't know how bad that feels.

The official rank of Weezer cds.
1. Pinkerton (by far, especially with songs such as El Scorcho, the Good Life, Falling For You.)
2. Blue (very close to being number 1, songs like In The Garage, Buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So made this a rough call)
3. Green (let's be honest, everything after Pinkerton and Blue is a tossup except for Make Believe which was terrible.)
4. Maladroit
5. Red
6. Make Believe

Check out the newest poll, the last one was close but Release Him, Please. Barely edged out Trade him for some balls and a bat on the Bill Hall poll.
Discuss this amongst yourselves and get back to me.

Super Bowl/Shouse to the Rays

Old Man Shouse had just signed on with the Rays for two years. Sad to see ya go Shousy, you were the shortest oldest leftiest pitcher we had. Hopefully the SS attack(Swindle and Stetter) can hold up to the level you pitched against lefties. We both know they can't hold your jock, particullarily because it's so old it might crumble into dust. Good luck in Tampa ol boy.

Super Bowl 40something is today. Pittsburgh v. Arizona, who will win? I hope Arizona can pull it off, gotta go for the underdog here. The Steelers should destroy them, but so should have the Eagles, Panthers and Falcons. The Steelers are better than those teams and have had more time to prepare for this matchup, they won't underestimate the Cards the way the Panthers and Falcons seemed to. But that doesn't mean I'm taking the Steelers to win, even though I think they might. I think the Cards will win today, I'm just hoping they can protect old man Warner long enough to hit Fitz and Boldin for a couple touchdowns. At the end of the game I'd like to see Kurt Warner get hurt, take him out of the league on a high note. Just break a leg or something, something to keep him out long enough so he'll retire.

Off to go bartend this morning.
Peace.

Poker Night/Brewers Pitching and the Ben Sheets Conundrum

Make sure to check out the poll to the right. I'll put up a new one weekly.

Thursday night is poker night at my neighbor's house. Shout out to J-Rod. Aside from losing two straight hands with pocket queens, the cards seemed to come out in my favor all night. It was a good night and I ended up taking home 40$. Shout out to the other guys who play; Nate, Logan, Jake, Kevin, Scott and Big Eazy. Just check 'er down.

On to the Brewers and the issues with our pitching. Playing poker last night made me wonder is Ben Sheets is worth the gamble on resigning him. He is reportedly asking for a nice guaranteed two or three year contract. I've heard that a couple of teams have offered him some nice incentive laden contracts and he is reportedly turning them down. Ben, buddy, remember who you are and what your track record is injury wise. You never play close to a full season, except this year, which coincidentally was a contract year. Even then you got hurt and severely hurt our playoff run. Even with all this I would have liked you to sign a nice one year deal or possibly a two year deal with the crew. Prove that you are worth what you think you are worth by playing a full season and you will get paid. But right now teams are scared to sign you. Hell our starting 5 is not looking the greatest(but what starting five with SoupCan would look great?). Yo is going to be the ace of the future, Manny is a solid pitcher, Bush had a great second half last year, Chucky is ok, but he is better as a reliever or setup guy for Hoffman. And SoupCan sucks, we paid him big money because of his playoff experience and we finally get there after 26 years and you were terrible. CC looked better and he had pitched twice as often the last couple weeks of the year. I have more animosity towards Soup than I ever did for Gagne, and that says a lot. Why haven't the Brewers gone after Gagne again anyways? He was mos def. overpaid last year, by oh, let's say 8 million dollars. So if the Twinkies were going to give him around 3 million, why haven't we offered him half that and see what he says. He had a pretty good last month of the year. If we will give Counsell 1million, Gagne should get at least that. I am disappointed be didn't keep Mota around, he really picked it up at the end of the year.

Tomorrow might bring about a SuperBowl entry.
Who knows, till then I'm checkin 'er down.

The reason for my blogging...

The main reason I started this whole ordeal was to spite my brother, Andy. I also started this blog because I think I'm intelligent and have some good stories to tell. I also think my point of view is worth forcing down most people's throats. I know that most times what I write doesn't make much sense or isn't all that funny. I have a dirty sense of humor and a potty mouth. I think dick, fart and poop humor is the funniest kind of humor and don't mind if you don't agree with me. I'm going to keep on writing the stuff, the way I see it. I may tone down some of the vulgarity as I am trying to do this in normal everyday situations. Now that my son is getting the the age where he is starting to repeat some of the random things I say, I believe it's time to tone it down a notch. With my son, I can try to get him to say somebody's name or repeat the word food or please and it's not happening but you say "oh shit" once and out it comes. At least that's what I think he was trying to say. Oh the good ol' days, when all we had was the dog, and we knew she would never repeat anything you would say. Hell, the dog will try to snuggle up next to ya in bed when you are trying to get a piece, which is kinda creepy, so you kick her off the bed and proceed with caution. But, I digress, I wouldn't give up my kid for the world. There is no laugh in the world that compares to the laugh my kid puts out there when you are tickling him. So with that I say. Good day and go Badgers.

Till next time, Seacrest Out.

Round 2.

The fine art of heckling.

Heckling is a trade that can only be mastered over time, it isn't something that just comes to you overnight. I have a long history of doing dumb stuff in public just to get some attention. Everything from throwing a water balloon into a convertible during a parade(hey the lady dared me, what can I say), to standing up in the middle of a packed theatre in the cities when I was around twelve saying in my worst Austrailian accent that I was from the outback. Back on the main topic though, while heckling there are some things to think about. It is possible you could be a complete asshole and be a terrible heckler. You have to have a sense of humor about it, you have to learn to adapt to your suroundings, and you have to know enough about whom you are heckling(you don't want to run out of insults afterall). It is always a positive to have a good buzz going while you are ripping into an opposing team's player. Hell it helps out anytime you plan on yelling some nonsense while there are thousands of people around you. We had a great time spitting "hot fire" at Tejada in Milwaukee. My cousin got him best with "Hey Miguel, why don't you act your age, if you know what it is." Of coarse this was right after it came out that he lied about his age on his visa to play baseball in America. It doesn't always matter if your victim can hear you either, as I explain in my next story.

I really heckled Bill Hall the next time we went down for the Mets series on Labor Day weekend. Which didn't make too much sense, due to us being in the opposite end of the field from him. He couldn't hear us, but there was an annoying family in front of us who were big Bill Hall fans, so I kept going. I almost felt bad when the boy sitting in front of us gave me a nasty glare, the which I slurred, "Hey kid, it's not my fault Bill Hall is a terrible ball player." Oops, I'd like to say I wouldn't do it again, but who am I really kidding. When a guy is chanting "straw wrapper, staw wrapper" at falling straw wrappers from the seats above us, you gotta give him hell. This is the kind of annoying fan who tries to cheer up a whole section by himself, you know the type. He stands up and starts the "slow clap" trying to entice other fans to get in on it, and when nobody does he sits down and says, "Well I guess nobody else is a real fan like I am". This dumb son of a bitch yelled at his wife for not cheering with him, picked his kids pizza up off the floor and tried to get the poor kid to eat it and yelled at his daughter for cheering at the wrong time. This is why I had no problem farting during the whole game and blaming it on this loser. Let me tell ya, they were some bombs. I got away with it until they left the game early and I kept farting. But hey, thats what some Popeyes chicken/night of drinking will do to a guys rectum.

Keep on letting the players hear it, you are paying them after all by buying the tickets, may as well get your money's worth.

But there are many more farting/poop stories for the future.
Till next time, I'm out.

First Post, It's on now ladies.

I started a damn blog, Andy. So suck it. Now on to the important stuff.

My Brewers rant of the day.

Who the hell does Rickie Weeks think he is and why does he think he needs a raise? I want the team to cut him and at the very least cut his pay. If this man thinks he deserves a 800,000 dollar raise for batting .234 then I deserve a hummer everyday for doing the dishes and making sure my kid breathes. This is shit you are supposed to do, Rickie. Come on now, all I ever hear about is this guys potential. Well buddy, you have been in the league long enough to show something worthwhile. Keep it up we have plenty of young talent coming up in the minors that have potential. You can't even throw the ball from second base to first base, you make Prince look even worse because of his inability to catch your horrible throws. Lick my bag, Rickie.

Other Brewers news.
We signed Prince to a two year deal. 6.5 Million this year, 11.5 million next year. Good signing, this should make sure the pudgy little guy keeps his weight down so he gets that big payday in two years from now.
We also signed Cousell to a one year deal worth 1 million, hell why not for that cheap.

Anyways, more to come.
